Lo-Fi-45 commander in chief, KASEY TAYLOR returns with his downtempo alias, KAYMID for this 2 track original EP, “Cacais / Curve”. A follow on from last year’s “Sensitive”, the release continues with that light, effortless feel with a bit of a twist. Kasey’s engineering prowess is on full display with this record,

Flowing, breezy, beautiful and at times a bit wonky, the tracks are reminiscent of a summer weekend.

“Curve” and its warbling chordal organ parts ring light and fluffy against a backdrop of percussion and skin drums, an island afternoon vibe complete with Mojito in hand.

“Cacais” ruminates on life in Portugal. If “Curve” is the day after, “Cacais” is the night before. With watery pads enveloped by rhythmic layers, the compelling whispering vocals prevalent in “Sensitive” are back to entrance and sure enough you’re compelled to join the fun and let loose.
